LaunchBird — Oilfield Division O.

Great equipment.Invisible online.

Websites for Alberta's oil and gas equipment makers, fabricators and specialty service companies, engineered to turn the engineer searching a part number, the buyer vetting a new vendor and the operator facing a 2027 methane deadline into an RFQ. Fixed price. PO-ready. Live in 30 days.

Why this division exists

The patch buys on relationships. Then it checks your website.

Every new buyer does the same thing after the handshake: the EPC procurement lead building a bid list, the production engineer who picked up your card at the Global Energy Show, the operator who suddenly needs a vent-free retrofit before 2027. They look you up. What they find decides whether you get the RFQ.

Most of the Alberta equipment companies we look at have forty years of engineering behind them and a website that says the opposite. A Flash-era splash page. A PDF catalogue from 2006. A best-selling product buried four clicks deep, or missing entirely. Some sites don't load at all. LaunchBird Oilfield fixes exactly that, and nothing else.

Fixed Price, PO-Ready

Published packages. We invoice against your PO, so it goes through AP like any other vendor.

Live in 30 Days

The launch date is in the contract, and missing it costs us, not you.

You Own Everything

Code, domain, content, analytics, every RFQ. No hostage hosting. Leave whenever you like.

Specialists Only

We build for one industry. Your engineers won't spend the project explaining what a separator is.

The diagnosis

Three gaps cost oilfield companies the bids they never hear about.

You can't see these losses. Nobody calls to say they picked your competitor because they couldn't find your pressure rating. They just pick your competitor.

Gap 01

The positioning gap

The product that pays the bills isn't the first thing on the page. A company that does most of its revenue in chemical injection or methane reduction shows a generic "solutions" banner, so the buyer searching for exactly that never connects you to it.

Gap 02

The spec gap

Engineers qualify vendors on numbers: pressure class, material, size range, code stamps. If those numbers are locked in a 40 MB PDF or not online at all, the engineer moves to the next tab, where a competitor has them on the page.

Gap 03

The capture gap

No RFQ path, no drawing upload, no tracking. The site can't take a quote request at 9 p.m. from Fort St. John, and you can't tell whether it has ever produced a single lead. Usually, it hasn't.

The RFQ Engine

Seven elements turn a vendor check into a quote request.
We engineer all seven.

Every build in the showroom runs on the same system. It's built for how industrial buyers actually decide: quietly, on specs and proof, weeks before they ever pick up the phone. Scroll through it and watch a site assemble itself.

01

The Positioning

Lead with the product that pays the bills. If most of your revenue is chemical injection, the first eight words on the page say chemical injection, not "integrated energy solutions."

Your money-maker, above the fold.
02

The Compliance Hook

Your buyer has a deadline: federal methane rules, an AER directive, a turnaround window. We put that deadline on the page and show how you solve it, so you're the answer to the problem they're Googling at 10 p.m.

Their deadline, your product.
03

The Spec Layer

Part numbers, pressure classes, materials and datasheets, searchable and on the page. Engineers check your specs themselves, and the ones who fit arrive already sold.

Specs on the page, not in a PDF.
04

The Proof

Code stamps, COR, ISNetworld or Avetta status, field record, years in sour service. Placed beside the claim it supports, so the engineer and the procurement lead can both tick their boxes.

The vendor checklist, pre-answered.
05

The Tool

A methane calculator, a part-number finder, a live shop-capacity board. Something useful before contact, so the visitor leaves with an answer and remembers who gave it to them.

Value first, contact second.
06

The RFQ Path

An RFQ tray, drawing upload and the fields your estimators actually need. Three clicks from part number to quote request, any hour, from any lease road with a signal.

Built with your estimators.
07

The Follow-Through

Every RFQ routed to the right inbox or CRM, tagged by source and product. Trade-show and campaign landing pages that report back. You'll know what the site produced, by the month.

Every lead attributed.
The Showroom

Three niches. Three complete builds.

Builders put up show homes before anyone signs. These are ours: three complete websites for three fictional Alberta oil and gas companies, one for each kind of company we build for. Work the methane calculator. Search the catalogue. Check the shop-capacity board. Then picture your name on it.

Want something real and live right now? launchbird.ca ↗ is the firm's own site. Same hands, same system, in production today.

Every build above: hand-coded, no template, no stock photography, fully responsive. The companies are fictional; the tools on them really work.

The founding offer

Every show home is for sale. Once.

The first real company in each niche to claim its show home gets the entire build re-engineered around their products, specs and brand at a founding price low enough that we don't print it. In exchange: a public case study and an honest reference. Once a niche is claimed, its card flips to the real site, and that build is off the market for good, including for your competitors.

3 of 3 niches still open, for now.

One email with the price sheet, from a person. No sequences, no spam.
Fixed-price packages

Published prices. On purpose.

No six-week proposal cycle, no paid discovery phase. One won RFQ usually pays for the build. Pick a package, or send your URL and we'll recommend one in your Teardown.

The Launch Guarantee

Three commitments, in the contract, in plain English. Your launch date is written down, and if we miss it your invoice drops 10% for every week we're late. Nothing technical goes live until your engineers have signed off on it, so no wrong pressure ratings and no made-up specs. And before launch we run a live RFQ through the site end-to-end with your estimators, then spend 30 days tuning until it performs the way we promised.

Backed by the same firm that signs a 90-day results commitment on six-figure AI engagements. We're comfortable being held to things.

Day thirty-one and beyond

Launch is day one. Then we fill the pipeline.

The site is the engine; targeted traffic is the fuel. Once you're live, we can run demand generation aimed only at the people who sign POs: engineers, foremen and procurement leads at the operators and EPCs you want. Measured monthly, reported in plain English, month-to-month. Offered to sites we've built first, because we won't send paid traffic to a page we don't trust to close it.

Account-targeted LinkedIn

Ads shown only to production engineers, integrity leads and supply-chain staff at a named list of operators. Your target list, not "oil and gas, Alberta, 25–54."

Search engineers use

Part numbers, product types, compliance terms. The long, specific searches that convert, with landing pages that match the search word for word.

The trade-show engine

Pre-show outreach, a booth QR that opens a show-specific page, and a follow-up sequence that goes out within 48 hours. Your $40,000 booth, finally tracked.

Your other options

Four ways to fix your website. Compared honestly.

We're option four. Here's what the other three actually buy you.

Option 01The WordPress guy

$2,000–5,000 and a theme. It'll look newer, and it'll look like every other theme. No catalogue, no RFQ path, no tracking, and in three years it'll be the next site that goes down on an outdated plugin. You've changed the paint, not the engine.

Option 02A general Calgary agency

$10,000–25,000 and capable people who also build for dentists and restaurants. Expect to spend the project teaching them what a coupon holder is, then rewriting their copy yourself because "industry-leading solutions" isn't how your buyers talk.

Option 03A big industrial B2B agency

$60,000+ and a six-month process, often run out of Houston. Genuinely good for the majors. For a 40-person Nisku manufacturer, you're paying for their account team, not your RFQs.

Option 04 — this divisionLaunchBird Oilfield

$9,500–$32,000, fixed, in writing, live in about 30 days. One industry only, built by the people you talk to, around your best product and the buyer you most want. You've already walked through three examples of exactly what you'd get. That's the pitch.

Common questions

Before you ask, answered.

Are the show homes real companies?+
No, and that's deliberate. Think of them like a builder's show home: nobody expects a family to live there, and nobody doubts the craftsmanship because of it. Rather than pad a portfolio with borrowed logos, we built three complete, working websites for three fictional oil and gas companies, with a working calculator, catalogue and capacity board. Each one is for sale once. If one fits your niche, we'll re-engineer it around your products on founding terms, and your live site replaces it in the grid.
Our business runs on relationships. Why does the website matter?+
Relationships get you the call. The website decides what happens next. A new operator, an EPC procurement team or an engineer who met you at a show will look you up before they add you to a bid list, and they'll do it without telling you. The site's job is to make sure that check ends with an RFQ instead of a quiet "no." It also protects the relationships you have: when your champion retires or moves companies, their replacement Googles you too.
How much of our engineers' time does this take?+
About four hours in total: one recorded 90-minute interview up front, then two review sessions where they check every spec for accuracy. We write everything and chase every datasheet. Their job is to tell us when a number is wrong.
Do you actually know oil and gas?+
We're not your engineers, and we won't pretend to be. We know how industrial buyers evaluate vendors, and our whole process is built to pull the technical truth out of your team and present it the way engineers and procurement read it. Every number goes through your engineers before it's published. That's also why we build for one industry only: no project spent learning the vocabulary.
Can you handle a big catalogue? Ours is 400 parts across a dozen PDFs.+
Yes. Production covers up to 150 SKUs; Field Development handles any size, including migrating them out of PDFs, spreadsheets or your ERP into a searchable catalogue with an RFQ tray. Your old PDF links get redirected, so nothing your customers bookmarked breaks.
Our site is down, or still on Flash. What's the fastest fix?+
Start with a Rescue: $1,500 and 72 hours to stabilize the domain, secure it and put up a clean interim page that can take RFQs. Every dollar is credited toward a full build, so it's never wasted money, just the first step.
Will this work with our procurement and AP?+
Yes. We invoice against your PO, net-30 is available, and we'll complete your vendor onboarding forms. Payment is milestone-based: half to book your build slot, half at launch after your final approval.
Do you work with the big distributors and majors?+
Not by design. Large distributors and the majors win on decades of relationships and have marketing departments of their own. We build for the companies in between: specialist manufacturers, fabricators and service companies with a product or service worth more than their website says.
Can you also run our ads, LinkedIn or trade-show follow-up?+
Yes. That's the Pipeline retainer, from $3,500 a month: account-targeted LinkedIn, search, and trade-show campaigns, with one monthly report on what produced RFQs. It's offered to sites we've built first. Tick the interest boxes when you request your Teardown and it's scoped in the same document. Quoting automation and internal AI systems are the firm's other arm: LaunchBird AI.
